Hi, i’m Kristine, and thanks so much for visiting my blog!
I don’t even know where to start to try to possibly explain to you “about me,” but I will give it a shot! I am a 20-something girl pursuing a Doctorate of Audiology degree in Western Massachusetts. It is a 4-year post-bachelor program. I went straight from undergrad to grad school, which could be both, good and bad. I can finally say that I really enjoy what I study, and I am excited to be able to help people who have difficulty hearing, hear again. Most people take advantage of the ability to hear.
I am currently in my fourth year externship year. I finally get the opportunity to leave western MA and move to wherever I want to move. I have always wanted to move away to a warmer climate, and was ecstatic to take a position in sunny Arizona. As of July 2011, I will be living in Arizona for a full year. I am extremely close with my family, so it will definitely prove to be a challenge, but I am excited for a new adventure.
Aside from school, I really enjoy living a healthy lifestyle and running. I cannot say that I have run very many races, but I do run about 5-6 days a week. I run for me, and truly enjoy it. I don’t run particularly fast or far, but it is a way to disconnect from the world and just be immersed in my own thoughts for an hour each day. I usually don’t even run with an i-pod. I started running about 3 years ago to lose weight. Along with running, comes other healthy lifestyle changes. I can honestly say that I am really happy with where I am at right now, and I am a very lucky girl.
Come along with me on my journey of life! 🙂
